Eagles are back in Rotterdam and the new LROE show is great.
The boys dressed as they were in London. Henley sounded great, Timothy as good as always and I have to say that Glenn sounded better then the last time I heard them. Joe keeps on going and the crowd still loves him. My favorite song of the evening was LROE, with an excellent Joe Walsh and the great lyrics and the unique voice of Don Henley. Steuart Smith becomes more and more a solid part of the show, even more now that he is also a co-writer of some of the new songs, however he will never actually become a member of the band.
I was surprised that there was more interaction with the public then ever before. Glenn did not even mention his usual jokes, but he thanked the Dutch audience for there support throughout the years. He said that the Eagles were well known in Holland before they even were in the US.
The Dutch crowd cheerd as always extra long for Chris Mostert when the band was introduced.
Thanks to the people of ILAA for excellent food and drinks.
Kind regards to all fellow Eagles fans from Wim and Lilian.

Sounds good. I'm going to attend the show in R'dam at the 3'rd. Ofcourse, to hear all the old stuff will be great but I'm really curious how the new material like NMWITW & LROE will sound.
Finally get to meet my guitar-hero Walsh!
I will report back after the show.

Helloo all,
What a show it was. The guys started around ten past eight in a fully packed Ahoy. From then on they were flying till half past eleven. The most exciting thing for me was all the new songs like Busy, LROE, Somebody , Weeds all done so well. It seemed they all had fun and couldn't stop. As a guitarist i am wondering what they did with all the fenders and rickenbackers they used on all other tours. Especially Joe and Steuart had amazing new stuff. It was just a great great show from the best band America ever had. I will be there on thursday and can't wait.

Just a minor point: Last night they played exactly the same setlist as in London, so Guilty of the Crime was played (before HC). They gave a very good and relaxed performance. Sitting 50 feet away using binoculars I couldn't discover any prerecorded (non-live) part or vocal (sorry, as a lawyer I'm suspicious), except the intro to LROE; the second Arabic theme is played by Steweart. The 9 new songs sounded very much like the cd. Alas there was no vibrato in No more walks in the wood. In the second set they interacted like friends. They did not look hot in the suits. Joe's and Glenn's voices were better than in earlier shows in Holland. Don's and Timothy's were splendid as usual. Glenn did his embarrassing dance in All she wants to do is dance like on the dvd. In the band intro Glenn included TBS, DH, JW and himself, which is a bit strange. The films and pictures on the screen were quite aposite and beautiful. I'm delighted that I've bought a ticket for the second show tomorrow, probably their last ever concert in Holland (hey, they're 60/61). I hope they make a live dvd of the new songs!

Hallo all, Lia and I went again to an Eagles concert, we were in London on March 22nd last and again they were just supurb. What a SHOW. Seems they had more pleasure in performing than at the London show. What i bunch of musicians, LROOE was just extraordinary. What a great song (Don Henley at the peak of his writting skills) We had arranged with our company a 5* package deal with "Iloveallaccess" and I was so happy that a friend of mine won a "signed by the EAGLES CD" and he gave that to me. So this trofee is in the pocket. Will see them again tomorrow and after that it is just hoping they will return again soon. Or maybe eind of the year up to USA....

Yesterday I came all the way from Belgium to attend the Eagles concert in Ahoy, Rotterdam.
Fantastic, these guys are getting better and better. They were absolutely fabulous. This concert was my personal first climax of the 21st century. I have heard that they would come to "De Kuip" in Rotterdam, could this be true?

I saw the band on April 1st and it was ABSOLUTELY FABOULOUS !!!
The distance between the band and me was about 6 meters including 3 or 4 other fans, and Glenn & Joe were right there in front of me.
Voices immaculately well, great musical performance, good slide show (if you had the time to watch :-). Liked the old photographs of the young Eagles very much, which doesn't imply that they don't look well at the moment at the age of 60!
Songs very well chosen, both new and 'old'. Surprised to discover afterwards that they didn't play Tequila Sunrise though.
Long Road Out of Eden just great, and I loved to hear Waiting In The Weeds live (my favourite on the new CD).
Don's and Joe's solo songs also very well chosen.
During the first set a string broke on Joe's guitar and he just laughed about it. During the second set they all (even Don) became much more relaxed and it just looked like they - like us - had a wonderful evening with a lot of friens ...
And yes, I would prefer jeans & shirts as well. Just figured that wearing a tie whole evening just can not be comfortable. Did you see that Don was wearing tracking shoes underneath?
Glenn thanked the Dutch fans for the fact that they were given an Edison award many many years ago, long before they even became famous elsewhere of even in the USofA, and congratulated us on our good taste ...
Need I see more? Yes, one more thing:
I am sooooooooo glad I also bought a ticket for April 3rd !!!

hey..
making myself ready to go to Rotterdam in a couple hours. thrilled to see them again.
and yes Don was whering in the second set list his tracking boots, even Thimoty was whering different shoes. greetz and see ya in Rotterdam!!!!

The second Rotterdam show was shorter than the first one: they did not play the encores Rocky Mountain Way and All She wants to do is Dance. Joe's solos were less inspired, Steuart made a little mistake in the Arabic tune in the middle of LROE. They were a bit less relaxed. Perhaps Don stayed a bit grumpy after his admonishing of the flash photographers after the second song (BBFab). As it seemed to me only Glenn really amused himself every minute. I preferred the first show. Still, it was a marvellous performance in its own right. Probably their last in Holland ever. Crowd favourites were LROE, Weeds, HC and Desperado. Glenn reminded us that they recorded How Long after his kids discovered an old fragment on Youtube live in Holland in 1973 or 1974.

I gave Don a rose after he finished Desperado!
It's a long story!
The show was really amazing, so great!
I don't have any words for it!
