We thought we'd post the answers from the Top Five Most Frequently Asked questions here at the front of the blog in order to help you better.
Q How can I contact the band or one of its members?
A None of the Eagles have public e-mail addresses, though both Joe's Official Site(www.joewalsh.com) and Tim's Official Site (www.timothybschmit.com) have links where you can send comments.
If you'd like to write to a band member, use this address:
Name of Eagle
c/o Eagles Touring Company
1100 Glendon Avenue
Suite 2000
Los Angeles, CA 90024
Q Are the Eagles coming to ...... ?
A We get this question a lot. There are plans to tour in 2007...they just haven't been made public yet. The band plans from year-to-year so they probably don't even know if they are coming to your neck of the woods.
The same goes for solo dates. If the dates are published, then we have them on the main page of the site, in the sidebar where it says "Eagles On Tour".
Q What is Hotel California about?
Let us tell you what Hotel California is not about.
It's not about Satanism
It's not about a mental hospital
It's not about a hotel in Mexico
It's not about a drug rehab center.
In a nutshell, it's about America in the 1970s.
Q What happened to Felder?
A In 2001, Felder was fired from the band. He sued Don Henley, Glenn Frey and long-time manager Irving Azoff. The case was settled before going before a jury.
Felder claims that he was not allowed to see the band's books and that he deserved more money than he was being paid.
The defendants in the case claim that Felder was no longer being a productive member of the band...that he was causing undo friction and conflict that did not allow the band to tour or record new material. They also claim that Felder violated his contract by making a deal for a tell-all book.
Of course, there are 3 sides to every story.
Q Will there be a new album?
Yes. It will be released by the end of 2007.
