One thing, yes it is him.Why not tell the truth.Every group or rock star done some wierd or bad things in their life. We(the fans) are not that dumb, also it's not about the 70's,or steely dan.Base on a true story people who surrvived the cult.Goodday.

Am I just too old, or is it because I was there in the 70s? (We country rockers wore cool clothes) Come on people...Don't be afraid to use your brains. Hotel California is not about evil. It is about the death of the golden days of rock, as, the band saw it in the mid-70s. The line "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969" is about the death of real music. Post-summer of love. We had the insidious disco and Punk, which turned out to be a way to rip off disillusioned fans. Everyone, including bands, were floating-drowning. But HC, and LINFL, is also about the terrible hedonistic days of SoCal. The Eagles, were referred to as The Hedonists amongst other country rockers in the 1970s. "Everything All" the Time sums it up nicely. If you want more info, please e-mail me-sbarton@internode.on.net-I am sure that Don Henley would approve. I have been well trained in the works of the great philosophers. People, use your brains. Don't just jump on the band wagon du jour. The lyrics to the songs are cool if you are willing to think about them. If you back-mask HC, apparently I buried Paul. Nos Vemos amigos. Dr S.

An observation from the real world.
Open the gatefold album cover of the Hotel California LP and you'll see the mysterious figure on the balcony in greater detail for yourself.
Despite the low light some things are reasonably discernable. The downward droop of the shadowy figure's hand seems to indicate long fine fingers. The wrist area appears delicate and the arms very slender - an identifiably FEMALE form. It's just a girl leaning forward and looking down at the crowd with her arms stretched, as if she wants to fly off the balcony.
Every picture tells a story doesn't it. I wonder who she was. The 'Devil'?? Nooo. I don't think so..

Watch this youtube video showing a detailed view of the inner LP cover. You tell me... Those are not arms! They are too long and the curve seems to suggest wings... I am freaking out!

An anti-rock book I have stated ANTON LAVEY as fact, even drawing an arrow towards him.

BUT BLENDER MAGAZINE ISSUE PUT OUT an issue with an OUTTAKE of the cover on 2 of its pages spread. It clearly shows a woman who is looking very DRUNK from the way she is positioned. She is african american , drunk, and has an afro.

The reason why on the gatefold it looks like that because the 'dark' surrounding the head is her afro blending in with the walls in the picture, like an opening!!!

I AM SERIOUS ABOUT THIS!!! i have seen this

also the LIDO apartments are 'mentioned' in the book "THis is Hollywood" by Ken Schessler.

Many bands were targeted as part of a satanic cult during the 70's. (Queen, Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, Beatles). Remember the notion that Paul McCartney was dead during Abbey Road. This mysticism sold thousands of records, and created a climate that sparked the buying public's imagination. Also, keep in mind that the radical evangalist who made these claims were simply trying to scare the shit out of people like they always have. Smart managers like Irving Azoff, used this as a simple marketing tool.
