Welcome to the Henley Book Club!

BookshelfgifWelcome to our quiet corner of donhenleyfans.com where you can pull up a chair, get cozy, sip a cup of warm tea and read some books Don Henely has mentioned reading. If you look over to the side, you'll see the list we've come up with. This library of sorts is a work in progress. If you've read one of the books and want to write up a review (or just provide a general synopsis), please send us an e-mail and we'll gladly post it for you. If you can remember where Don mentioned the books, let us know that as well. Some of these have just been in our heads so long that we have to research to find the original mention.

Our intention is to eventually include books in which Don is mentioned or that Don has had a part in creating. Stick with us...and enjoy your reading! This post will stay at the top of the blog, so make sure to scroll down to see if there's anything new here.

The Lorax

<>
"I speak for the trees...for the trees have no tongues!" That's the refrain said time after time by the little creature in this Dr. Seuss classic. He's always kind of reminded us of Don. In this book, the Truffula trees are endangered and the Lorax predicts the bleak world that will exist if they are gone.

We gave Don a copy of this book once (can't remember the occasion) and he remarked that he was indeed familiar with it and liked it. Interestingly enough, he returned the gesture by sending us two copies of The Ecology of Commerce.
