We've finally cleaned up the Fastlane Store. We had items in there still emblazoned with 2002 (we felt like the band's official site). We've added new items (magnets, buttons, ringer shirts, colored tees) so please check it out. If there's a logo you like, but don't see it on your choice of shirt, let us know...we'd be happy to make it up for you. Additionally, if you'd like a custom shirt (like one with your name on it), let us know and we'll see what we can design. For the designs in the store, we receive $2.00 for each shirt purchased to apply towards website expenses. We've set up a special section of the store where items have been marked up $15.00. This is if you'd like to make a donation to the fund....you get a shirt and we get $15.00. Thanks for all you do to support the Fastlane.
Thanks to advancements at Typepad, we've started something new today. It's the Eagles' Photo-A-Day. Every day, we'll post a photo for you to enjoy, download or stare at. We do need your help, though. Please send suggestions (in the form of links or attachments) to us in an e-mail. We don't want this to be a collection of OUR favorite photos...but rather one of the community's faves.
We know we don't say it often enough, but our site visitors are AMAZING. We posted that Don was going to give an interview on a Denver radio station and hoped that someone could catch it and let us all know what was said. Well...within minutes of the show being over, EagleGal posted her notes over on Eagleland. AllAroundEagle posted her notes as well. Terry wrote to say she got it on tape and would send us a copy. THEN Seattle Fan sent us a transcriptof the second half of the interview. Finally, Martin posted a comment to let us all know that the radio station had the interview up on their site. Talk about a team effort!!! Y'all are amazing.
And, speaking of the show that Don was calling Denver to promote, there's an EXCELLENT interview in today's Rocky Mountain News. Reporter, Mark Brown always gets the goods!
Well, it certainly has been fun. To wrap up the Henley tour, we've added some photos from Linden and a decent article about the cancellations from a Corpus paper. As usual, these are available on the Henley TourBlog
Don Henley will be on Denver's KHOW tomorrow morning from 8-9 am local time. The station's website says that Don will be talking about "...about the Presidental campaign, why he's involved, why he's supporting Kerry and more!" The station does allow you to listen live on the Internet, so hopefully someone will be able to listen and give us all the report. This should be a really interesting interview.
When we did the VIP thing in Tulsa, Don told Lisa he was coming down with something. Guess he wasn't kidding. Don's site has posted that the OKC, Odessa and Corpus dates have been cancelled. That's all we know. We don't know if the dates will be made up or if they are cancelled for good. We'll keep you posted.
On another note, we've added a few items to the Henley TourBlog. Check them out!
