Introducing Henley Homework

We're pleased to offer a new feature over at our sister-site, Donhenleyfans.com. Weekly Henley Homework. We really wanted to add more interactivity to this site without creating a new message board or chat room. That's where Henley homework comes in. Each week, we'll ask 3 questions and ask you to respond with your thoughts or comments. People can enter into a conversation and get to know each other and Don's work a little better. This is mean to be fun, so please come on over and participate. No right or wrong answers and everyone's opinion matters! We also promise not to assign detention or make you watch a film-strip! This week's homework involves The Garden of Allah, the Four Speeds and some creative writing!

New Henley Music

Don is featured on a duet on Kenny Rogers new album. The song is called "Calling Me" and it is wonderful. It has a great message and amazing Henley vocals. CMT is streaming the song now and you can listen to it now! The album will be available on March 21st. Pre-Order Water & Bridges from Amazon. Thanks to Mr. Haney for the heads up!

All He Is Saying

Don is featured in a new documenatry which will be airing on Showtime on March 8th. All We Are Saying is Rosanna Arquette's look at what major rock musicians have to say on a variety of topics.

Idol Easy

Tonight's broadcast of American Idol began with a group performance of Take it Easy. If FOX doesn't put it up on their site over the next couple of days, we'll make it available.

Milestone Meisner

On March 8th, Randy will be the first Eagle to hit 60! Our friend John is collecting birthday messages to send to Randy. If you'd like to wish Randy a great 60th birthday and thank him for his amazing contributions to music, send it in an eMail to John. Please send your messages by March 3rd so that they can reach Randy in time for his birthday.

Greatest Hits

Back at the end of 1999, the band received an award marking Greatest Hits 1971-75 as the best selling album of the century. The band celebrated the occasion by talking to Jim Moret on Showbiz Today. Since Friday was the 30th anniversary of the release of this album, we thought we'd remind you of how big it is. You can read a transcript of the Showbiz Today program or download a short snippet of it. CNN still has the story and a nice video up on their achives as well.  And if that isn't enough for you, we have stills from the broadcast.

Bet on Felder

Don Felder peformed at the Card Player, Player of the Year Awards Gala which celebrates the best in Poker, apparently. Wire Image has some nice photos of the appearance.

Happy 30th!

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the release of the Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975. This album is the best selling album of all time. We'll see if we can come up with something fun to celebrate this momentous birthday this weekend.
