Here's Where it All Started.......
Way back in 1994, something compelled us to put out a newsletter for our friends. We were all kind of bummed when the HFO tour halted due to Glenn's illness. We'd had a great time going to 14 shows that summer and didn't want the fun to stop. Our first attempts at the newsletter were kind of Mad Magazine meets Rolling Stone. We thought we were funny, though looking back, we're not sure we get some of our own jokes.
We made the newsletter using a handheld scanner, a printer, a scissors and lots of glue. Talk about a cut and paste job! We'll be featuring these newsletters here over the next few months (there are 50 of them!) After we got the hang of it, there's actually some good stuff in there including HFO concert reviews and feature articles not found anywhere else. We hope you enjoy this look back at where it all started (click each image to view the page).

I wasn't there for the very beginning of the WT, but was lucky enough to get the back issues. They were awesome! One of my favorites was the one with Don's chili recipe. I missed them when you stopped doing them. But time marches on & now we have Eagleland's Shallow End & Eye Candy. Thank the Lord for progress! :)

Can I just copy Charisse's comments ?
My other faves are the Softball Page and the Walden Tree :-)))
Can't wait to see the next issue !

I'm pretty sure I still have my issues in a box somewhere. Good thing you guys never got in trouble for violating child-labor laws (the things teachers can get away with.....)
Anyway, great job then, great job now.

OMG, I forgot all about the Wasted Times! I must admit your newsletter skills improved damatically in a short time. Which issue is the infamous Dillards ad in?

The Lengths We Go made me LOL! Your fanzine was a scream, sorry I missed those days. Not that I'm complaining...;-)
