As I may have mentioned lately, I've become kind of obsessed with the television show, The Office. I've been trying to find a connection between The Eagles and my new fave TV show. I have found one! Jay Ferguson, who wrote the lovely theme song for the show has also worked extensively with Joe Walsh! Small world, huh?
We'll have the awesome eight decided on Monday evening and then it will be on to the final four. Make sure to vote in these matches today!

One last update for today. Lisa rescanned all of the photos of Don's old house from the Musical Houses book. The old scans were of color copies of the book and were done with a hand-held scanner. We think the new ones look much better. There are also some photos there that we have never scanned before and you can download the whole book chapter as a PDF file. Enjoy! This is another one for the "We didn't already have that up?" file. This is an open ended interview with Glenn about the Strange Weather album. A DJ would get a list of questions and the audio of Glenn's answers so it could look like the local station had scored an actual interview with Glenn.

I can't believe that we have never put this up before. California Rock California Sound is a book published in 1978. It's by Anthony Fawcett and features the photos of Henry Diltz. It contains chapters about all of the movers and shakers of the California scene. The Eagles' chapter was written when the band was recording The Long Run. There are band interviews, photos and a band history. Interestingly enough, the comments about new material and going on tour sound like they could have been written last week.
If you enjoy reading Don's writing then you'll like the introduction he wrote for legondary DJ, Jim Ladd's book Radio Waves. Don talks about how important the radio was to him as a teen and about how the business of radio has changed things.
