CBS has videos up from tonight's broadcast as well as a transcript of the complete show. While it was a nice look at the band's history and it was interesting to see a few followup questions asked, it was meant for the casual fan instead of the die-hard.
We know a lot of you are coming to this site after watching the broadcast and want to let you know that the band has no current plans to tour. You can bet as soon as we know anything, it will be posted front and center here on the site.
While I have the blogging application open, I'd also like to just address something that has come up repeatedly in emails and in chat tonight. It involves the "body language" segment. Many of you have commented that that clip is "proof" that the band members hate each other. We just don't see it. What is it proof of? That the editors found a minute or so of footage that they can claim is tension filled body language? Yup. It proves that. It also proves that the power of suggestion is a remarkable thing. Just because the commentator says that it is negative, doesn't mean it is.
So, what might Don be saying with his body language? Maybe, "I'm tired and bored by this lengthy interview wherein we are answering questions we've answered hundreds of times." Or it could be "Hey, it's been a long time since I've been in here and I notice something different up there near the ceiling." It could be a lot of things, but I don't see how it says, "I hate Glenn." Nope. Granted, we don't know the inner feelings of the band members toward each other, but if you were trying to find evidence that they hate each other, this particular clip certainly wouldn't be it. It's just Henley being Henley.
So, that's our 2 cents.
What questions would you ask Don and Glenn if you had them in a booth at Dan Tana's?
