Joe on Planet Rock

Joe was on Planet Rock with Nicky Horne today. Here are some of the details:

  • Joe was late because he was having a fish supper
  • There is a very good possibility that they will tour in the fall. They just want to have the album sink in and get feedback from the fans.
  • He feels like he has a solo album and some solo gigs in him.
  • Timothy had an accident whilst surfing in Hawaii and consequently damaged his voice, which will take him about 4 months to get back to normal

There are more details here.  Thanks to Teri and Marie-Louise for filling us in!

MizB, I was thinking the exact same thing when I heard he had a fish dinner....hahaha

It was a good interview, good to hear he may be coming out with a cd in the near future! yeah....

"Joe mentioned in a webchat a couple of years ago that he loves fish tacos"

You funny, MizB. ;-)

Anyone think Timothy's injury might be the reason they cut I Can't Tell You Why from the setlist?

Hi: I just received my copy of LROOE from the band's website and like what I hear.I really enjoy the Joe Walsh tune. With the vocal harmonies, tasty keyboards, percussion and guitar, it sounds a bit like Steely Dan, but with the Eagles' flavor. All in all, job well done. Like Jan, I ordered the Don Felder book through Amazon U.K. and received it more than a week ago. I don't disagree with L & M's comment about the part they read (regarding Don and Glenn). There is nothing in the book regarding the Eagles that we haven't heard before. The parts of the book I prefer and enjoy are those about Felder growing up in Florida amd his friendships with Bernie Leadon, Duane and Gregg Allman. Peace.

So what happened to Don then? I had heard that he may have been joining Joe on the show.
Maybe after seeing Joe on The One Show he thought better of it:)

Joe's interview is now up on the main page for listening to. Thankfully it's separated from the entire 4 hour show now. It now seems I tuned in only about 7 minutes late originally!

I think we should be glad for the delay in touring....they're giving us time to save up for those ILAA packages!! :)

Late due to a fish supper? Wonder if it was fish tacos again? (Joe mentioned in a webchat a couple of years ago that he loves fish tacos)

Tour in the fall eh? Fall 200?, lol!

That is too bad to hear regarding Timothy's voice. It explains why someone on the message board who saw one of his Nokia performances said he seemed to be struggling while singing his song. Hopefully some R&R will help him have a speedy recovery. I am sure he already has lots of songs recorded, so that his solo cd won't be held up for 2008. Take care, Timothy!

When I got back from work yesterday the Felder book Heaven and Hell. My Life In The Eagles was in my mailbox - preordered from amazon uk. I was surprised because I thought the book had been cancelled. Stayed up and read most of book. The book does not have a lot of new information, but for a die-hard eagles-fan since the 1970s the book is interesting. I did not know that Felder prayed on his knees to stay on in the band. His portrait of Glenn and Don is interesting reading. The settlement is just briefly mentioned - I guess he is not allowed to give more information than what's already official.

Timothy damaged his voice? And we hear this right after learning of his diary entry that said he would release his solo CD in '08. That stinks....I still play Feed the Fire fairly often. Here's hoping he gets back to normal soon.
