A Few Things

The fact that Long Road Out of Eden beat Britney (Auntie!) Spears to the #1 postion was named as Billboard's #9 story of the year. (Thanks, Selena!)

And we know that we said we'd have the Joe on Larry King video up last night. Things got crazy after we got stuck at work until after 5 PM (and then spent an hour and a half stuck in traffic!). We'll do our best to get it up for you tonight. Until then, though, you can read the transcript (thanks, Patricia!)

We'll also try to get the CCUSA clips up before the holiday. The CCUSA site has some highlights, though.

Joe on Larry King

Joe Walsh was a guest on Larry King last night to talk about the legacy of Dan Fogelberg.  Joe stressed the importance of getting regular check-ups because prostate cancer is something that can be dealt with if caught early. Along with Joe, I can't stress this enough. My father had a VERY close call this year, but managed to catch things in time. So, if you are a 40+ year old male, get checked!

Don Henley on Off The Record

We were pleasantly suprised to discover that the interview with Don on Off The Record tonight was a new one. Uncle Joe Benson (who always does a great job) chatted with Don for an hour in-between songs. We did the best we could to capture it for you. Sometimes, they'd surprise us and start talking over a song, though, so we missed the beginnings of a couple of clips.

One thing we did miss that y'all will like to hear is that Joe said Don confirmed that the band would tour for at least 2 years to support the new album. We'll just probably have to wait until late in 2008 for them to start.

It's a great interview. But......Don, it's George III who was king during the Revolutionary War....not Charles.

A Busy Sunday Afternoon

I've spent this weekend trying to get caught up on some things that piled up on me while I was sick. Tracey in England sent us an amazing care package that we can now share with you. We've also managed to get 60 Minutes ready to share with you. We're working on processing the Glenn/Joe stuff from the Country Countdown this morning. Our recordings aren't the best, so if someone else managed to get it, we'd appreciate it.

Eagles on 60 Minutes (huge file!)

R.I.P. Dan Fogelberg

Long-time Eagles friend and associate Dan Fogelberg passed away this morning after a battle with cancer. Dan was Irving Azoff's first managerial act and Joe produced his 1974 solo album Souvenirs. Glenn, Don, Randy, Timothy and Joe all guested on Fogelberg albums and he returned the favor several times. For fans of classic rock, he will be missed.

New Off The Record Tomorrow

There will be a new Off The Record featuring a new interview with Don Henley tomorrow (mixed in with some older stuff from Don, Glenn and Tim) We're going to try to catch it, but hopefully a few of you will as well. Don Felder has just been added to the list of celebrities appearing at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic golf tournament in Palm Springs January 16-20th.  Too bad Glenn isn't going to be there. :)
