The Political Intrigue Continues

So...Richard Moore (see the story below) was asked if he'd consider accepting donations from Glenn Frey now that Don Henely has sent a financial contribution to Moore's opponent.

"I saw Mr. Frey's golf swing this weekend out at Pebble Beach.  He certainly plays a lot of golf," Moore said before realizing what he had just said to a room full of reporters. "Not that I was there. I saw it on TV."

Maybe I'm dense, but I don't understand what this even means.

It's not his usual manner, I know, but I find it funny to imagine Don laughing pretty hard when he read this somewhere. :)
