Randy Taking it to the Streets?
Leslie let us know about this post on SonicPast Music. No confirmation yet, but it is an interesting rumor:
Randy Meisner, the golden voice of the Eagles ‘ “Take it to the Limit” has put together a group and is now working out the details for opening some dates for the The Doobie Brothers on West Coast leg of their US Summer tour this year, and possibly more dates on that tour in other regions of the US as well.

Here are the Doobies' scheduled concerts after they finish touring with Chicago. Those would be great shows for West coasters with Randy on the ticket.
07-30-2008 08:30 PM - Turlock, CA @ Stanislaus County Fair
08- 1-2008 07:30 PM - Ventura, CA @ Ventura County Fair
08- 2-2008 08:30 PM - Lodi, CA @ Hutchins St. Sq."Rock n Jazz"
08- 6-2008 07:00 PM - Roseburg, OR @ Douglas County Fair
08- 7-2008 08:00 PM - Silverton, OR @ Oregon Gardens
08- 9-2008 06:00 PM - Redmond, WA @ Marymoor Amphitheatre

The Chicago/Doobies tour ends on July 4th, at Mohegan Sun.
I was kind of hoping that Randy might be opening one of those shows, as I will be seeing them in L.A.

I've never seen Randy play live and this is something I'd seriously consider travelling from the UK to see.

Good for Randy, hope he is well and he does well. If he comes to the east coast I'll make that show.

The Doobies are touring this summer with Chicago. If Randy is going to open for them this summer, it will be in the very latest part of the summer.
