June is Eagles Month on Planet Rock

Planet Rock will be featuring the Eagles all June. They'll have Eagles related broadcasting and will be giving away tickets to the UK dates.

Of most interest is the Glyn Johns interview which is new.

6 June: The Long Road Out Of Eden Story - Find out how the band reunited after one of the most acrimonious splits in rock history to record one of their finest and most ambitious albums so far.

13 June: My Planet Rocks Special... Joe Walsh - The always entertaining Joe Walsh talks to Nicky Horne about his favourite music and about what it is like playing in one of the most influential bands of all time.

20 June: Eagles Set List Special - Tune in for this special feature some live material that you know, and some that you might not.

27 June: Early Eagles With Glyn Johns - In this Planet Rock Exclusive legendary producer Glyn Johns gives us a first hand behind the scenes glimpse at what it was like in the early days of the band.

Eagles European Leg Starts Today!

The band kicks off it's European leg of the Long Road Out of Eden tour tonight (actually in just a few hours) in Malmo Sweden.

There have been a few mentions in the local press (primarily about the venues being used for the shows). Check out this Danish article and this one from Sweden. Google has a fairly good translator.

Make sure to check our TourBlog. We're hoping that people post their reviews (or send them to us).  

Also, we hope that you'll consider following us on Twitter. We'll be forwarding posts from Europeans attending the shows and we should be able to send you updates while we attend the Munich and Milan shows in a few weeks.

Something for Your Eagles Memorabilia Collection

All band members have contributed autographs on ceramic pigs to benefit A Child's Place.  That's right...ceramic pigs. The auction takes place on May 30th during the "A Swine Evening" event. Check out the pigs. They are really cute (you'll have to click the "music" tab on the piggies page. Thanks Amy!
