I've got the 2010 TourBlog ready to go. Check it out and remember, we all love reading the reviews and information you post there. I've also updated the sidebar on the blog and on the main page, so you know...they'll probably release more dates soon.
Vancouver goes on sale at noon local time. A couple of sites list "Stage" as the presale password. We haven't had time to create the TourBlog or update the sidebar yet, but we'd appreciate it if you used this link to order your tickets. Good luck!
Thanks to BH who posted this on Facebook. Joe is asking a Republican candidate also named Joe Walsh who has appropriated Life's Been Good as part of his campaign to stop doing so. There's a great story in the Hollywood Reporter and we suggest that you read the complete text of the letter that Joe's lawyer sent candidate Walsh. It's what you'd expect from Joe. I think that anyone who visits candidate Walsh's website can see that Eagle Joe has every right to go "...all Jackson Browne" on him.
Driving home from work today, we heard this story on NPR about Haiti's only working radio station. As a fan of the Eagles, this part gave us chills:
When the quake struck at 4:53 p.m. on Jan. 12, Signal FM was playing "Hotel California." The Earth groaned and the building shuddered, but just before the DJ ran out, he had the presence of mind to hit the "repeat" button.
So for the first 30 minutes of Port-au-Prince's descent into hell, the only thing you could hear on the radio was the Eagles' standard — over and over and over.
If you haven't had a chance yet, please consider sending a donation to help the quake victims in Haiti. Even though it may seem like a far-away place with a very different culture, they listen to the same music that we do. For the songs that unite us, spare what you can.
We have the ability to make an iPhone / iTouch app for the website (for a small cost). Before we go ahead with it, though, we want to know if this is something people are actually interested in. I've been playing around with the service that lets you create it and I have a sample to share. Not all of it is working (I have to do more work on the Podcast Tab), but let us know what you think. Are these the features you'd want in an APP? What else would you want? We're limited to things that have an RSS feed.
Would you even use this APP? If the service we use makes us charge for it, would you pay 99 cents?
Amy found another interview with Timothy. It's not a lot of new stuff, but Timothy does talk about his son's taste in music, growing up in Sacramento, why Poco didn't work and how being a solo artist is different from being an Eagle.
