Eagles in Houston?

We've been hearing rumblings of a Houston date in late June, and we think ths tidbit from Tim kind of seals the deal:

According to a local radio station, there will be an announcement on Tuesday (tomorrow) regarding a concert from 'one of America's greatest bands", while the acoustic HFO version of "Hotel California" plays in the background.

Eagles in Little Rock

Add another one.....Live Nation is listing the Eagles in Little Rock, AR on July 1st at the Verizon Arena.

Guess It's Not a Rumor! Eagles in Wichita!

I Love All Access is now listing Wichita on it's site for June 30th.  Details on packages coming soon.  Thanks OAG for the heads-up.

And here's the press release on the INTRUST Bank Arena's website.  Tickets go on sale June 7th.

The Wichita Eagle is running what seem to be some fairly credible rumors that the Eagles will play at a new venue in that city later in the month of June. Thanks keybdplyr for the follow-up stories.

To all well wishers,

I know I’ve sent out my thank you’s already, but that was before I actually read each and every message in that extremely generous e-card (via the L & M Fansite). I now have two days off before we start making up the shows we missed (sorry about that), and I thought I should really tune in to all the great energy that’s been coming my way.  I want to tell you I am truly touched by all who participated. Not only did I hear from long time fans, but I was happy to hear from a few people I haven’t seen, or heard from, in a long time. So, it’s an understatement when I say, thank you all for your concern, your thoughts, and your prayers.

Now, since I already have three post-trauma shows under my belt, let’s all put this behind us and continue on our quest to be good humans... I do know you’re out there...

Philadelphia and Hershey Shows Cancelled

I think the title of this post says it all but here's the official announcement:

The Eagles, Dixie Chicks, Keith Urban concerts on June 14th at Citizens Bank Ball Park in Philadelphia, PA and June 15th at Hershey Stadium in Hershey, PA have been canceled.

Full refunds for the canceled concerts will be available at place of purchase.

Eagles Rockband?

If you'd like to see an all Eagles Rockband, then let your voice be heard!  The creators of Rockband are conducting a survey to find out what fans want for next game.  Check it out!

Rescheduled Eagles Tour Dates

I Love All Access is showing that the postponed Portland show will be made up on May 29th and Boise on the 30th.  No word yet on if the Joe Walsh meet and greet will still happen in Portland or if the third Vancouver date will be made up.  Thanks Therese for the info.

ETA:  The date for Vancouver is June 1st and the JWFC meet and greet in Portland is a go.

Here’s my mid-May adventure story:

On Monday, May 10th, we completed our second show in Vancouver. We then took a short, late night flight into Seattle where we were to have a nice two day break. I’m sure the following day was similar for everyone, a long sleep-in morning, followed by a no pressure, lazy day, and evening. So far, so good. My second day off started much earlier and with more energy. Everything seemed fine upon arising. In the latter part of the morning, I started to feel some physical discomfort. I tried to ignore it, not thinking too much about it. In fact, I carried on that way until the evening when it became more than obvious that I had to take some kind of action. In a nutshell, when I finally cried “Uncle”, this is what happened: A doctor visit to the hotel... a visit to the Emergency Room at the Hospital... tests, cat scans, all that fun stuff... checking in as a patient in the hospital... two days of observation, poking, probing, and another cat scan. By Friday, after missing the Seattle show, and now the third Vancouver gig, one choice remained...surgery.  So, there I am, thinking, ‘Well, I’m finally at the older-guy-getting-his-first-surgery phase of life.’ I was not a happy camper. Anyway, by noon that day I was completely sedated, and without over-sharing, undergoing a minor intestinal surgery. I had to stay there to be watched over for a couple more days, and am now, I’m happy to say, writing this from the confines of my own home. Fear not... I am on the mend and will be on stage in Denver this Thursday the 20th.  We will be going back to make up the shows we were forced to miss. Stay tuned for the dates.
