A little something

Mtvclips Sorry for the lack of updates lately. We're into the last couple weeks of school and things get really hectic. To tide you over, I made a short video for you. It's a compilation of Henley interview clips. Back when End of the Innocence was released (or sometime shortly thereafter), MTV's Kurt Loder spent a day at Don's former residence asking him about a bunch of stuff. The interview was chopped up and played on MTV's hourly news program. We just stuck them all together in one clip. Enjoy!

More from Don

Don's been speaking to several media outlets and little dribs and drabs are coming out. This time he talks to Steve Baltin about a double standard in country music.

Texans Interview

Texans2I've been transferring more DVDs to the Mac and thought I'd share this one with you. It's an interview done on local television in Texas in 1993. Don takes a reporter to Caddo Lake and talks about the environment, politics, religion, his childhood and the future of the Eagles. It's one of our favorite interviews.

It's Happened to All of Us

So, I was reading the message board at Democratic Underground and a poster mentioned seeing a short interview on her local television station featuring Don. Here's what YellowDogDeb posted:

"So, the gist of the interview was that everyone is sick of getting those prerecorded political phone calls asking for our votes. During the Texas Primary it got really bad. They interviewed Don Henley...that guy from the Eagles, who's a big Dem supporter and he said that even he was getting sick of it. He got prerecorded calls from Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, Michelle and Barack Obama, John Kerry and the chairman of the DNC. This is kind of funny, though. He said that it got so bad that he got a call from Bill Clinton wanting to discuss some wetlands project in Africa and Henley hung up on him, thinking it was a prerecorded call."

Getting Some Exposure.

So, I was checking out one of my TV Blogs and saw this. You'll recognize the second song in the trailer (though it's the India Arie version). Pretty cool.

Henley Interview on Virgin Radio

If you missed the interview on Virgin Radio today, we've got it ready for you to download. There's not much new here (Ben Jones should have called up Nicky Horne because he asked pretty much the same things Nicky did back in October) but there are a few interesting tidbits. Don hints that "Waiting in the Weeds" will be part of the new live set, he also didn't sound so final and negative about the possibility of another Eagles album. We learn that "stretching" is a large part of his workout routine and that Don Felder's is referred to as "The Departed".

Sorry for the dog's barking on track 5. We also got an error exporting track 1.  Thanks to JoeB you can dowload the ENTIRE INTERVIEW with no dogs. Thanks, Joe.

An Interesting Cover

Okay. I love Will Ferrell and I love Dave Grohl. Put them together and what do you have? Magic. Will and Dave dueted on Leather and Lace at a recent benefit for 826LA (a great charity that provides writing/tutoring centers to kids on LA). I'd love to have audio of Dave Grohl's part. He takes it so seriously! And he's good. Enjoy. This is Not Safe For Work due to language and content.
