Joe introduced Irving at the All Things Digital conference yesterday.

AZOFF AT D7: Ticketmaster chief Irving Azoff was one of the speakers at the D7 “All Things Digital” conference in Carlsbad, CA, and, after being introduced by Joe Walsh (“All the guys in the Eagles love him. He has a beautiful house that we bought him”), weighed forth on a variety of topics. He is “very optimistic” the Ticketmaster-Live Nation merger will be approved by the end of the year, is bullish on the current “narrowcasting” of the business, predicts record labels will exist more as “rights repositories” in the future and insists Bruce Springsteen is “uninformed” as to the “potential” of pairing his ticket company with a live promoter, insisting  “Everything we do revolves around what’s good for the artist and what’s good for the fan. Jeff Lynne to Produce New Joe Walsh Album

JEFF LYNNE SET TO PRODUCE FIRST JOE WALSH ALBUM IN 17 YEARS…Jeff Lynne is stepping up his public profile by laying plans for his first album since ELO's 2001 set Zoom, as well as prepping to produce Joe Walsh's upcoming comeback collection. Reuters reported that last Friday (April 24th) ASCAP presented him with its prestigious Golden Note Award.

When asked about the upcoming sessions for what will be Walsh's first album since 1992's Songs For A Dying Planet, Lynne only said, "I love Joe. He's a terrific guy, and we'll probably mess around and come up with some ideas together."

 

George Harrison Star Ceremony

Beatle George Harrison received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. Joe Walsh was part of the crowd honoring him. Thanks Jill for letting us know. More photos of the event are at Yahoo and at the links Jill provided. You can see Joe in the background in a few of them.

New From ILAA

I Love All Access has added a new feature to their 5 Star VIP packages.  For the Eagles dates in March fans will have a chance to purchase a special "Joe Walsh Experience".  A little more than $5000 will get fans the usual 5 Star package (tickets in the first 10 rows, gift, laminate, dinner etc.) plus a meet and greet with Joe that will include a photo and a signed guitar.  What do you think about this new "experience"?
