For Real: Honestly! Joe and Tim at CMT Awards
We had heard that Joe and Tim were going to BE at the CMT Awards, but they will actually be PRESENTING at the CMT Awards. Thanks, Sandy and Lee Ann

Those who attended the recent shows laughed when we saw the fake magazine covers during "Dirty Laundry" but one British megastar was NOT amused! Daniel Radcliffe, who attended the show on the 26th took offense at the "Timothy B Schmit stars in Harry Potter 8" fake cover. "Who does he think he is? Does he think ANYONE can be Harry Potter?!?! What's next? Are you after my part in Equis?," Radcliffe ranted at an after-show meet and greet. "Does Jo (author JK Rowling) know about this?" Radcliffe attempted to get physical with a bewildered Timothy, but was derailed. Radcliffe, a known chain smoker started wheezing and coughing before he could get a punch in. "He seemed very upset," said Tim after things died down. "I hope he sees someone for his respiratory problems." (from the April 1st issue of the Daily Mail)
While we were gone, Timothy updated his diary. Those of you interested in what Timothy's working on on the solo front will want to check this one out!
I've spent this weekend trying to get caught up on some things that piled up on me while I was sick. Tracey in England sent us an amazing care package that we can now share with you. We've also managed to get 60 Minutes ready to share with you. We're working on processing the Glenn/Joe stuff from the Country Countdown this morning. Our recordings aren't the best, so if someone else managed to get it, we'd appreciate it.

Glenn Frey and Timothy B. Schmit on Smooth Radio
Several site visitors let us know that Glenn is already scheduled to play at Pebble Beach this year. He must have gotten his paperwork in early!
Speaking of Glenn, Austin sent us a link to a rare LROE print interview featuring Glenn and Timothy.
Finally, Joe's been busy this week. He's been participating in the Rock and Roll Fantasy camp and will be playing at the House of Blues in Vegas in conjunction with that tonight. Sandy found a heap of nice photos on Getty Images.
This year it's like Tim's birthday is on Christmas...there's so much else going on! We hope that Tim has a great day. To celebrate his milestone birthday (can you believe he's 60?!?) we want to make sure that you know about the Feed The Fire fan page (which is an extension of the Keep On Tryin' Page) run by our friend Karen. She's got everything there a Tim fan could want or need. Happy Birthday Tim!
These articles were waiting for us this morning. I've added all of them to our LROE press/reviews page:
USA Today -- Eagles Raise Their Voices in Song After 28 Years
Channel News Asia -- The Eagles Are Still Flying High
Dallas Morning News -- Don Henley Q n A
Toronto Star -- Eagles New Disc A Mediocre Effort
Also, a reminder that the Eagles will be taking questions (though we don't know which members or if they will be in studio or what) on The One show on the BBC tonight. We hope that someone is able to tape it and/or provide a commentary as to the questions and answers featured on the show.
Thanks!
I know we're all awaiting news from the concert tonight. To help tide you over, we've got a little something for you. We were granted access to a promotional copy of "Long Road Out of Eden" and we've updated our LROE page with lyric snippets and our initial thoughts on each of the new songs. We know that you all have heard bits and pieces of them on the band's official site and in some radio interviews. We also know that various radio stations will be playing cuts from the album this weekend, so we encourage you to add your thoughts to ours. What do you think? What did you like? What didn't you like? That's what we'd like to hear from you.
Please note that if you want to be unspoiled about the songs, that you probably shouldn't visit the LROE page.
I still need to add press mentions, reviews and album credits to the page, but I need to make dinner and watch The Office first :)
Timothy called into Mark Hudson's radio show yesterday morning to chat with his old friend about Poco, The Eagles and other random facts. The station has put up the interview for you to listen to. You can download it here.
I've typed up some of the major points for you here. We totally have Leslie to thank for hearing about the interviewi and emailing the station to get the link. Enjoy!
Sorry for the disjointed nature of this. I typed whilst I listened.
Timothy called his friend Mark Hudson who is filling in for a DJ on this DC area radio station.
Tim told Mark he could do well at the DJ thing.
Talk about Poco and which member had been in which band before coming to Poco.
Tim says his appearance is shocking. He's in the the kitchen. It's hot in LA and he's just wearing running shorts and a t-shirt. He had just exercised.
Is Tim really quiet and shy? Tim says that he's shy until you get to know him and then "....I am the party".
Where did Tim's RnB vibe come from? Tim says he was always and eclectic listener and never had a vehicle to do something funky like that. Don and Glenn were receptive to I Can't Tell You Why. Tim thinks the song is very simple and that's what makes it great.
Does Tim get tired of singing it? It's hard to get tired of it and he gets great reactions. It's like doing it for the first time.
Mark asked Tim about Love Will Keep Us Alive and Tim mentioned that Paul Carrack was involved with that and that Paul might get brought in at the tail end of the Eagles project. Tim says the album WILL be out in fall and they just have to finish it. And then he laughed.
Tim says they are working 6-7 days a week on the record and after he gets finished with this call he had to go "....clean myself" and then head to the studio.
Tim says they aren't always all there at the same time, but that they are working steady on it and that it will be a really great album. It's full of great songs.
Target is end of October. That's all he's at liberty to say. People (Don?) have announced dates before and they haven't happened.
Tim has a Beach Boy element in him. Tim agrees, "Listen to my speaking voice for God's sake!"
A dream come true for Tim. Beach Boys tribute record. "Stars and Stripes". He sang Caroline No and then got to sing background with the band...while Carl was still alive. He got to be a Beach Boy.
When Tim first picked up an electric instrument he learned 14 surf songs.
The interview ended with Tim promising to kiss Jean for Mark
This is a short list this week.
Henley
We've got a little bit more information about Don's duet with Reba McEntire. This is from the May 11th issue of Radio and Records. Thanks to Dave G. for the tip.
While McEntire has also been a star for a long time, when she talks about working with Don Henley, she uses the words “legend” and “awe.” She says, “I wasn’t talking because I was hanging on his every word. He is just stupendous to me.” Still, she describes him as “a very down-to-earth person, yet very deep.”
The two recorded a song called “Let’s Break Each Other’s Heart Again.” “I like his writing, his singing, everything about him,” she adds. “For him to say yes to this project was wonderful.”

Karen has posted more photos of Tim's recent event in Sacramento on her Feed the Fire page.
Walsh
