Countdown Question #1--Plans
What are your plans for the night of the show? Are you watching with family? Are you meeting friends? Did you buy a new television set? Hit the comments button below to let us know what you have in mind.
Obviously, we'll be right here...blogging live and keeping you up-to-date!
It kills me to say this, but I have to go to a retirement dinner that night! I can't believe it. Absolutely crushed. However, the tape will be running and I'll be tuning in as soon as I get home. I've already ordered the DVD so I should be okay there.
I was GIDDY for HFO. I was beside myself for Henleys "By Request" show a few years back. I'm absolutely NUTS about this one...

I will be at home with my husband and 4 cats. I think it's really cool that they are putting it on TV. These guys are legends.

I will be settled in to watch it on my big screen TV with the sound system all set to go and hopefully joining in on the blog during commercials...well maybe during the show too :)

I'm definitely planning to watch and tape the special! I just preordered the DVD set on Amazon and am looking forward to seeing the guys live on September 10 here in Bakersfield! EAGLES FOREVER!

I'll be sitting at home in Australia thinking of you lucky people in the States, impatiently waiting for my DVD to arrive, and wondering if you will see me in the Melbourne audience (Eagleland regulars know who I am). Have fun!

I am pumped ! I will be in bed watching (comes on later where i live) and will be taping it downstairs on my digital cable tv box. I assume the show will be the same tape as the dvd, just shorter, so its a nice way to bridge the 3 weeks before my dvd comes. I am very excited and telling my friends.
Not often NBC does something like this.
The weekend following I will be watching it in surround sound.

I have to reschedule a nail appointment I made for that night, WHAT IN THE HELL WAS I THINKING!!!!!
I'll kick poor Mom (she stays with me in the spring and summer) into the bedroom to watch her own TV, while I drool over our boys in the living room with a HUGE bowl of popcorn! I'll be taping it on the tv in MY bedroom while it's on, and, like katehasl, will be on the computer too!

I'll be home watching, listening to my husband whine that he has to put our daughter to bed solo so I don't miss a second, and cursing the fact that we don't have a TV within viewing distance of the computer. :)

I'll definitely be watching and taping, too. I may even have to move a tv in by the 'puter so I can do that, too! Can't wait!

I'll be at a Collective Soul concert. But I am taping and will watch when I return home.

For quite a while my evenings have been spent in the garage working on a race boat....I think I would skip my own funeral to see this broadcast!

I already requested off work that night. So I'll be in front of the big screen, DVR and snacks ready to go! I'm READY! :)

I'll be trying to convince my hubby that he DOES want to watch it, and if not, will convince him to watch tv on the smaller set. (I will not be telling him I already pre-ordered the DVD, because he will not understand why I'd want to watch it on tv if I'm already getting the same thing on DVD. Silly hubbies!) I will also be warning my family and friends not to call me during that time!

Like a few people ahead of me, I have plans for that evening that I cannot break. BUT... two VCR's will be running (one as a back up) and I will be tuning in the minute I return home. DVD is pre-ordered and I will be taking the day off from work to watch and enjoy that. Those boys are simply 'the best'.

I'll be home with my hubby, inviting my sister over, who is a huge fan with the TV cranked up and taping !! I can't wait for the DVD !! I'm so glad the guys are doing this! What a treat for us !!

The brand new Wynn Las Vegas Resort is where I will be viewing. I have to be in LV for business and it will be great to stay in a hotel with HDTV Plasma screens in the rooms. At last, an Eagles concert without all of the distractions that you have to put up with when you go to a show!

I live in a dorm style housing complex and there is only one tv that will be capable of getting NBC which probably means I'll be fighting for control of the TV. I plan to break a few noses and knock a few teeth out but I've been waiting since "Hole In The World" for some new material and God help those who would try to interfere...

Obviously I'll be DVR/TVO-ing the thing; my expectations aren't incredibly high as I'm sure with commercials the show will be much shorter than the upcoming DVD. But that can't stop anyone from being excited now can it?

I'm very curious as to whether the NBC special will be broadcast in HDTV 1080i. The Peacock Network has really been dragging it's feet with regard to HDTV. So who knows.
In any event, I will be recording the show on my JVC Digital VHS HiDef recorder. So if it is broadcast in 1080i, I'll have it all on digital tape (via firewire) preserved for the ages.
Come on NBC, get with the program.
