I can't find a review in the Indy Star or anywhere else so I'll give you my usual biased review. My sister told me Joe was on the "Bob & Tom" show this morning and was just hilarious (he always is on there). Maybe someone got to record it for us.
I was born and raised in Indiana but I am telling the truth when I say this was the BEST concert I have ever seen them perform. The crowd was excellent. No drunks, loud-mouths, screamers, etc. Most of the people around us were about my age which really helped .
Fashion report can be summed up in one picture. I've seen all of them wear the same shirts like 4 times this year. Please . Timothy had on brown pants and brown shoes with the black silky like shirt. Joe wore the very pretty black jacket he wears a lot but had it over the same T-shirt he wears a lot so it kind of distracts from the jacket. His hair wasn't shining like usual and I thought he looked a little tired but it did not affect his performance. Glenn wore that old blue plaid shirt over a white T-shirt (shirt unbuttoned). Again, he really seemed to be in pain but it did not affect his performance either. Don wore the old gray shirt that Lisa is so fond of. Unless you're a huge fan of facial hair, that gray beard does nothing for him.
Their voices were excellent. Don hit all his high notes and Glenn sounded so much better than he did during the summer. I don't think he cracked once. Timothy was perfect and Joe was Joe; what can I say?
We got the same set list as Dallas/Little Rock. BOML was a big hit and a surprise for most of the people except Karen and me. Joe has put the extended solo back into ITC - just excellent. The encore was TIE / RMW / Desperado. TITTL / BOML / Walk Away / HC got standing ovations and the crowd responded so many times in the middle of songs when Joe would play the solo part. Glenn actually looked like he appreciated the response to TITTL - I hadn't seen that before.
After the bow, Joe pointed to our right and they all went over and gave a little boy pics. Glenn threw 2 pics into the crowd, then Timothy walked right over in front of us and threw out 2 pics. I think "melbelle's" husband may have gotten a hand on one of them but I'm not sure if he got one. I looked down and there was a yellow pic about a foot away from me. Wish I could move fast enough. No one was expecting it and 2 women by Karen took a dive for it. I'm not sure who ended up with them.
The guys were in a very good mood, laughing, joking, and kind of "out of sync" with Don out front. I was not going to say one word about Don playing air guitar but since it has already been mentioned, he's not very good at "faking it". He's better off with a tambourine but he just wasn't comfortable out there. Timothy and Glenn seemed to take great enjoyment in Don's predicament. He did percussion on some songs, but I agree with Karen S. that he could not have had a true knee or heart procedure. Maybe it won't be too long before he's back behind the drums.
I want to the concert last year and they all looked so tired. This year they were much more energetic, seemed like they were having a good time.I wae glad to see them in their "Eagles" clothes. The suits they wore last year were just sooo not Eagles. Oh, and by the way those "2 women fighting over the pic?" One of them was mydaughter and she did get Glenn Frey's pic. Me? I'd rather have had Timothy B's.
