Joe on I Heart Radio Right Now! (New Album News!)

Joe is live on I Heart Radio right now answering questions.  Some Fastlane visitors had the opportunity to talk with Joe. Here's what Monstertone found out about Joe's new album:

I just spoke with Joe Walsh!  I asked him about his new solo album coming up, and the specifically about the arrangements...I wanted to hear some songs centered around the acoustic guitar...like Indian Summer, Collage, etc.

He said the album is done and in the can...and the overall process is 4/5ths done.  He isn't sure when it will be out 'cause he's an eagle right now.  But my impression is that it's close.

He said working with Jeff Lynne was a total challenge (in a good way).  It really forced him to challenge himself....he really likes the results!  Said they were two old timers set in their ways, and it took a while to figure out how to work together.

I mentioned that my daughter was mad 'cause I made her go to school today and miss hearing his call.  He told her thanks for being a fan and to "grow up good."

Joe was very down to earth, and the whole thing was pretty quick.  It was, afterall, a business call recorded for the Eagles radio show.  Still, it was pretty cool.

Don Henley Still Strongly Dislikes YouTube

Rolling Stone magazine asked Don for comments regarding his legal victory over Chuck Devore earlier this month.  As expected, Don is still pretty down on YouTube, but he certainly knows his copyright law!

Eagles at Penn State

If it's Monday that must mean there's another tour date........wouldn't it be great if they announced these all at once?  Anyway, the band will be in State College, PA, at the Bryce Jordan Center on October 22nd.  Tickets on sale August 30th.

ETA:  Thanks Steve for the heads-up.....the band will be in Lubbock, TX, at the United Spirit Arena on October 5th.

Eagles in Des Moines

Yes, you read the correctly......the tertiary tour continues......the Eagles will be at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, on October 24th.  Tickets go on sale August 27th.

Holy Toledo!

The Eagles will play at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, on October 20th.  Tickets go on sale August 23rd.

Eagles in Indy

Add another date in October....the Indianapolis Star is reporting the band will be at Conseco Fieldhouse on October 12th.  Tickets go on sale August 23rd.

Don Felder Signature Double Necked Guitar

Gibson has announced the release of a limited edition, Don Felder signature model of the famous EDS-1275 Double Necked Guitar made famous in Hotel California.  Check out the Gibson site for more information about this release. Gibson also has an interview with Felder about the famous guitar.

Eagles Sponsor Training Camp
