Don Henley Recording with Hank Williams and Patsy Cline

We found more information on that Nasvhille industry blog that we mentioned yesterday. Apparently, Don has run out of living country-music stars to record with, so he's shifting gears and laying down vocals on old tapes featuring Hank Williams and Patsy Cline.   The blog says, "Don's already recorded with Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Trisha Yearwood, Reba, Brad Paisley, Ronnie Dunn, Allison Krauss and Randy Travis. There's really nobody left except for maybe Taylor Swift and nobody in their right mind will collaborate with her these days for fear of ending up in one of her songs. His only option was to reach into the vaults and record with some legends who have passed to the Grand Ole Opry in the sky."

Joe Walsh and Dr. Drew Pen Self Help Book

Did you all see the interview Dr. Drew did with Piers Morgan last night? Dr. Drew, celebrity therapist, is starting a new show. As he was plugging it, he mentioned that he's been working with Joe Walsh to create a new self-help book and series of DVDs called "How Ya' REALLY Doin?"  The program is designed to help people examine their own well-being and to be honest with themselves about their current mental and emotional state. "It's about letting go of denial and the DVD will have an amazing guitar soundtrack" said Dr. Drew.  He also added that "Joe has a lot of great advice and people would be stupid not to listen to him."  We can't wait.

Glenn Frey Collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger!

American designer, Tommy Hilfiger announced that he has entered into a collaboration with several leading rock musicians for a new line of clothes designed to help consumers "dress like a rock star".  While clothing targeted for the younger market will feature plaids, cargo pants and graphic tees designed by the likes of Pete Wentz and John Mayer, Hilfiger is turning to Glenn Frey to help the more mature customer feel just as rock-starry.  "Glenn and I are working on a line of cotton, button down shirts in solid pastels and stripes." said Hilfiger in a press release. "We've had some disagreements. I think they look great buttoned up with a tie, but he prefers to showcase them open, with a white t-shirt underneath."  Either way, we think men are going to enjoy dressing like Glenn.

Timothy B. Schmit: "I'm Not Steven Tyler!"

Searching WireImage today, I came across a video and photos of Timothy attending a red carpet movie premiere a few days ago, I can't post the video here, because our limited account doesn't allow us, but there was a pretty funny moment. Apparently, people all over Los Angeles have been mistaking Timothy for American Idol Judge, Steven Tyler.  In the clip, a reporter actually calls Tim "Mr. Tyler" and then Timothy lets him have it (in a very nice way, of course).  I've transcribed what Timothy had to say.

"Look, what is it with this Steven Tyler stuff?  Ever since he started showing up on TV people have been thinking I'm him. What is it? The hair? Is that what it is? I don't get it. We look nothing alike.  Can we set the record straight once and for all? I don't even know what it means to "...save a Casey Abrams" and I can't tell you what Jennifer Lopez smells like.  Thanks!"
