Several little mentions to share with you today...
Bernie talke to the Nashville Ledger about the benefits of living and working in Nashville.
JD Souther's new album Natural History came out this week. The disc features "Sad Cafe", "New Kid in Town" and "Best of My Love". Check out JD's website for tour dates. He also talks about his early memories with Glenn in an interview in the Huffington Post (scroll down for JD's portion).
Bonners found a whole heap of videos on YouTube of Bernie performing with Chris Hillman and Herb Pederson at the San Diego Roots Festival back in July. Enjoy the one below and then head over to Eagleland where she's posted the whole lot.
Don Felder
Felder is back on the charity golf circuit and there have been several mentions of him in the press recently:
This was also the weekend of the annual Keel-Felder golf tournament near Chester, England. As usual, joe B. is there and sent us the photo we've got posted.
Felder will also make an appearance on Vision TV in Canada on September 18th.
He's also playing a few dates. he'll be appearing with Grand Funk Railroad in Hinckey , MN on October 16th and in Tulsa, OK in December. Lots more info on the always excellent, Felderfans website...really the only place on the internet for up-to-date Felder info.
It has come to our attention that rumors of Bernie's death have been circulating around the Internet and that this site was the one to confirm them. THIS IS NOT TRUE. Bernie is very much alive and well and this site never confirmed anything. It appears that this rumor is being stopped on the various Poco and Byrds websites and mailing lists where it started. Various people have spoken to Bernie and he is fine. So, please stop spreading the rumor and please stop e-mailing us to ask why we said Bernie was dead. We didn't. It looks as if someone is trying to get attention for themselves and is using this website and the name of a well-known and respected Poco fan to get it. We wish Bernie well and are sorry that someone felt that they had to do this to him.
As part of the Berniebration today, we've added some Bernie content to the Exit Ramp. There are photos, videos, audio downloads and some interesting reading. Enjoy!
We're still playing around with the trivia/game service and thought we'd use it to help celebrate Bernie's birthday. We've created a battleship game full of Bernie trivia.
You play it just like the board-game Battleship. Click on squares and try to uncover the computer's hidden ships. When you make a hit, you'll have to answer a Bernie trivia question for it to stick. You win when you sink all of the computer's ships. Play fast, though...the computer will be trying to sink you!
