Troubadours

Troubadours is a documentary about the 1970s music movement in Southern California, centered around the Troubadour nightclub in LA.  None of the Eagles participated in the filming, but they are mentioned and lots of faces will be familiar to Eagles fans.  It's airing on PBS stations this month. Check your local listings for times.

Eagles at ACL

Just got home from seeing the band at The Austin City Limits Music Festival. What a great show. We will have reviews and photos for you after work tomorrow, but because so many of you were concerned, we wanted to let you know about Don after his recent illness. He looked and sounded GREAT. In fact, this is the best we've heard him vocally in a while. He was in great spirits. Despite that, he did not get behind his drum kit the entire night. Instead he played percussion and came out front for songs like Witchy Woman and Fastlane. We don't know what prompted this. There were a lot of rumors flying around the ACL grounds, but we don't know if any of them are based on reality. While it was interesting to see Don out front more for the show, we hope that there are no lingering problems and that he will be 100% again in no time. More info in tomorrow's podcast

Eagles in Houston?

We've been hearing rumblings of a Houston date in late June, and we think ths tidbit from Tim kind of seals the deal:

According to a local radio station, there will be an announcement on Tuesday (tomorrow) regarding a concert from 'one of America's greatest bands", while the acoustic HFO version of "Hotel California" plays in the background.

Eagles in Wichita?

The Wichita Eagle is running what seem to be some fairly credible rumors that the Eagles will play at a new venue in that city later in the month of June. Thanks keybdplyr for the follow-up stories.
